Coca-Cola, An American Icon

Town Square Collection-See more!

Shortcut to Coke Spot's Goodies

Just mention the word "Coke" and - for the majority of people - memories of warm summer nights surrounded by family and friends come to mind. Or the day your Dad took both you and your brother to your first "REAL" baseball game. The game was great but the real treat was the ice cold "Coca-Cola" you got to drink while the mustard of the hotdog dripped down your fingers! The actual activities may vary for each of us but the memory of having a cold "Coke" while sharing the good times with loved ones are not.

The registered trademark of this multinational soft drink firm represents arguably the most widely recognized consumer product on the face of the earth.

See it All! For more than 100 years Coke has been a part of American society and is known the world over. It seems as though Coke has always been a part of our culture, it’s there during the good times to help us celebrate our achievements and victories. Coca-Cola is and has also been there during our times of anguish like a shoulder to lean on. During WWII, Coke established bottling plants overseas so the American GI’s would have a taste of home and see the familiar Logo on the cans and bottles. At home Coke’s advertising was geared towards feelings of peace and better times.

During the Christmas Season kids all over the world regularly leave out a cold bottle of Coca-Cola for Santa. The image they have of Santa is of course, the one that Haddom Sundblom created for Coca-Cola 75 years ago this year (2006)!

Coke, it’s as American as Mom’s Apple Pie and baseball, we would be hard pressed to imagine the "good ol days of USA" without Coke!

Back in the day, 1886, I'm sure that no one, including the creator, businessman, or visionary of Coke would have predicted the astronomical effects of the magic drink that was christened "Coca-Cola"!
