Toy & Games Shortcut! For approximately the first thirty years of Coca-Cola’s history the drink was targeted towards adults, to see that one has only to look at Coke’s advertising during that time. With slogans like, “The Ideal Brain Tonic,” “Relives Fatigue,” and “Restores Energy” one knew this was an adult drink. During the late 20’s and early 30’s Coke started seeing children as a valuable market for it’s popular drink. While the toys and games were produced with children in mind not all of them were meant for children. Coke knew that there were a lot of adults out there who are kids at heart! Playing cards were a favorite give away for adults as well as many “Milton Bradley” games like darts, bingo, checkers and chess were very poplar during the 40’s and 50’s.
